Problem with Printing Photo Book thru Photo

Thanks for the heads up! I noticed that the name of Hong Kong changed in the list of countries for the Print Products Store and wondered.

As a rule of thumb I am always writing the name of the country exactly as written in the drop down menu in the list of countries in Photos > Preferences > General: Print Products Store. Currently it is looking like this:

I would like to update my answer to this question as my reply no longer works.

It appears Apple has changed the address format AGIAN without informing anyone. Writing the country name as "Hong Kong SAR China" no longer works and you will get an error message saying: "The information in the following fields is missing or incomplete: Country Code"

The only way for this now to work is to enter the Country Name EXACTLY as follows:

Hong Kong (China)

Mae sure you add the parentheses around the word China...

It is ridiculous that Apple keeps updating the address format for Hong Kong without adding any information on their website on how to enter it properly. I have a feeling next year it will change again. Someone should look into this.

Have you set the Print Products Store to Hong Kong in the Photos > Preferences > General panel?

"Invalid Address" - The information on the following field is missing or incomplete" Country Code is missing.

Reenter the address completely and ignore the suggestions from your contact card. There may be a problematic entry in the contacts.

I had this same problem specifically for Hong Kong and was able to resolve.

The problem is that in the address book contact the country name needs to match exactly the name of the "Print Prodcuts Store." So having "Hong Kong" in the address book field will give you an error. You need to add exactly:

Hong Kong SAR China

I think it may be a similar issue for other countries, like UK versus United Kingdom...

Book printing with iPhoto was discontinued over six months ago so it is not possible to order books with either iPhoto or Aperture -Presto Photo offers printing for iPhoto and Aperture books and has received several good reports here
